Description:

This egret is found in the coastal wetlands near Mumbai. I have seen these birds in wild as well as near urban areas as well. I have spotted these birds feeding in creeks, paddy fields and even in urban storm drains.

Habitat:

Coastal wetlands, western coast, Maharasthra, India

Here is a Little Egret for your future reference, thin black bill, black legs and yellow feet. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/324...

Little Egret has a thinner black bill and yellow feet. Western Reef Egret has a thinner head and neck and is not likely found inland and extremely rare on the coast, no records for Mumbai area up to 1999. This looks good for Cattle Egret, commonly found all over.
