Ochna serrulata

Description:

This bush is native to South Africa and has very unusual looking fruit. While the fruit develops, the sepals enlarge and turn bright red. Five or six fruit, resembling olives, start out green and eventually turn black as they mature.

Notes:

Picture 1 was taken a month prior to the last three and shows how the fruit changes as it develops.
