A couple of people were trying to help it. Not wanting to add to the confusion I left them alone as they all heading in the other direction I was going.

Unfortunate to see it getting caught with a hook.
Did it survived or was released?

I have always heard that white tips were common at Lanikai, but have never seen one there.
