Ardea (Casmerodius) alba
It can be up to 1 m in height, with totally white plumage. It has a yellow bill and black legs and feet. The bill may become darker and the lower legs lighter in the breeding season. In breeding plumage, delicate ornamental feathers are borne on the back. Males and females are identical in appearance; juveniles look like non-breeding adults. The gape extends beyond the back of the eye.
Laguna de Arenal. It seemed to be waiting for the boats to arrive (probably in search for fish).

Thank you Sintija! I also always marvel at these long-necked animals :-)
