Alpine chough

Pyrrhocorax graculus

Description:

many coughs flew around the refuge, sometimes resting on the rocky cliff nearby, many were shy, but some let me approach them enough to snap some pictures. I tried to catch some particular moments such as 1) flight 4) cleaning 5)moment before flight. I also saw on them the translucent membrane on the eye that permits them to fly wothout ruining the delicate organ.

Habitat:

rocky cliffs at 1500 mt.above sea level
