American Yellow Warbler

Setophaga petechia

Description:

I guess it belongs to the aestiva group of Southern migratory warblers which winter in tropical Central America. Its plumage is yellow with darker olive color in the wings and tail and reddish bands in the breast. It seems the plumage colors are more pronounced for the male during breeding season.

Habitat:

Near Arenal Volcano
