Black Rat

Rattus Rattus

Description:

This rodent (mouse or rat) was about 5 inches long not counting the tail that is longer than the body. It appears to have some illness causing the edge of the ears and the tip of the nose to look irregular.

Habitat:

This is the first time I've seen it hide behind our shed so I was able to get a few photos of it. It's been eating dropped bird seed from our parrots in the backyard.
