Rough Green Snake

Opheodrys

Description:

Dead On Road specimen. This animal was likely only killed a few hours prior to being found. It was on a dirt roadway and it should be noted that snakes of this particular species are at risk due to the difficulty drivers have spotting them (assuming not too many would actually intentionally hit them) and their apparent preference for hunting and sunning on such open spaces, be they natural or human created.

Habitat:

On a dirt road near an opening of pine wood.
