Meadow Buttercup

Ranunculus acris

Description:

The Meadow Buttercup is a plant that has been introduced much of the world, including North America. It has become naturalized and is considered a weed to many.

Habitat:

The Meadow Buttercup, as its name implies, grows in open spaces such as meadows, fields and clearings. It grows in many places across North America.

Notes:

I enjoy the beautiful colour of this buttercup; the fields just wouldn't be the same in summer without this cheerful little flower.
