Description:

Yellowish brown triangular moth found in a grassy meadow.

Habitat:

Spotted in a grassy meadow next to woods at the McAllen Nature Center.

Notes:

larvae feed on forage and pasture grasses, as well as corn, rice, sorghum, and sugarcane, and may also feed on beans and turnips.
