Cornus mas
Almost ripe Cornelian Cherries, spotted on European cornel trees (Cornus mas), in Voulgareli village, Epirus region, Greece. The species is a very common Greek forest tree species and it is also used as an ornamental plant, as a hedge plant, and as a fruit provider, for jellies, marmelades and home-made sweet liquers.
