Spotting

I'm not sure whats happening there! Just assumed those were the fruiting bodies of that particular moss species? In any case, I thought it looked pretty interesting. All these mosses were covering an old stone wall which I found on my walk through a forested area.

Well, there's a happy community of living things! What's the story?
