Spotting

Description:

approx. 7cm across found growing amongst leaf litter in red gum forest along side the yarra river in a recently disturbed area. Looking through my Fungi book I thought it might be a Peziza sp. ?

Very interesting ! hope I get to see one of these. I am no expert and I do believe that it looks like Peziza. However, if you've got Fuhrer's book, check out Paxina costifera as well, although it's stated that they are associated often with pines.
Nice spotting, Vinny.
