Description:

The White-capped or Black Noddy is a seabird from the tern family. It resembles the closely related Brown or Common Noddy, but is smaller with darker plumage, a whiter cap, a longer, straighter beak and shorter tail. Numbering about 8,000, the Philippine subspecies (A. minutus worcestri) lives exclusively in and around the Tubbataha Reefs in the central Sulu Sea.

Habitat:

Islands in and around the Sulu Sea, Palawan. Images taken at Tubbataha South Islet, Palawan.
