Pied Myna (or Asian Pied Starling)

Gracupica contra

Description:

Black and white bird, the size of common mynah with large orang-coloured beaks.

Habitat:

Scavenging dirty urban stream at a tropical city.

Notes:

While driving slowly with camera in my hands, through the city of Jaigaun (Indo-Bhutan border) under Coochbehar District in Bengal on a festive morning, I spotted this bird scavenging along a small stream which was teaming with dirt. For the bird that was an opportunity to feast on choice!
