Ocyceros birostris
Grey as its name suggests. Undersurface considerably lighter; almost cream in colour. Long tail. Enormous beak with casque.
I was walking in the PUSA agricultural area when I looked up at the tall trees just in time to see a grey hornbill peep into its nest ...it was cloudy, the trees were leafy...this is the only shot I got.
After the bird left I shot the presumed nest but could not see any chick inside. Maybe it was only house hunting.

VivBraznell...so kind of you. I was gutted I did not get a better shot. The second time in my life that I had the opportunity to shoot hornbill chicks...but.....
Thanks, your comment cheered me up.
Lucky you! Lucky shot!
