Large Shield Bugs, from 2.5 to 3 cm long, mating. They were in a nice position to show the dorsal and ventral sides simultaneously. Family Pentatomidae.

Habitat:

Heavy vegetation, km 11.5, Highway between Chiapa de Corzo and San Cristobal de Las Casas, 865 meters.
