cepaea hortensis

cepaea hortensis

Description:

About seven of these snails were found when Jadyn was weeding the lemon balm patch. Their bodies are pale, not brown and the shells are yellow with spiral brown stripes. Snails are gastropods. This one looks like a cepaea hortensis.

Habitat:

These snails were found at the very base of the lemon balm plants where it was moist and shady.

Notes:

We are not sure if they were eating the lemon balm or only hiding there.
