Common Grackle

Quiscalus quiscula

Description:

In migration, there have been about 500 Common Grackle hanging around for a few weeks. Quite beautiful when you look close-up an catch them in the correct light. The male has a long tail, is glossy black, head blue,with bluish-purple and bronze cast overall. The females are less glossy and colorful.

Habitat:

farmlands, groves, suburbs, parks, they like to be near water.
