Description:

The magical moment when a doe appears with her fawn in tow. Air temperature was around 60 degrees despite the snow on the ground, which made things very wet and slippery for people and animals alike. Mama and baby were foraging for shoots.

Habitat:

Seen on a trail in Mount Rainier National Park at an elevation of approximately 5400'.
