Habitat:

I spotted this Phytomia Hoverfly in a rice field just before it was due to be ploughed for the new rice planting season. At that time of year, that field is always covered in many wild meadow plants, especially Trompang Elepante (Heliotropium indicum). which attracts many insect species.
