Coreid Bug

Description:

Orange and black Coreid bugs that were living on a low growing plant on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. The bug on the bottom in the 3rd and 4th pictures is the male, with enlarged hind femora. They were about 2 cm long. The last picture shows the undersides of the bugs.

Habitat:

Edge of a cliff, Punta Cometa, Mazunte, Oaxaca, Mexico.
