Description:

Large yellow and black swallowtail. Largest butterfly in North America.

Habitat:

Found on Tithonia in the fallow part of our vegetable garden.

Notes:

Tithonia has naturalized in our garden. By this time of the summer it's taken over large areas and will be attracting lots of pollinators till frost. Especially butterflies.
