Cephalopholis argus
Large mouthed fish with protruding lower jaw, dark-edge, and iridescent blue spots. Has a series of white vertical bars on the half rear of the body and a large patch under the pectoral fins.
Seen at shallow water, they chase their prey, reliying on ambush or careful stalking to get within striking distance.
Dangerous to eat. Most grouper fish begins their life as females and become male upon attaining large size.
