Pogona minor minor
About 35cm from snout to vent, somewhat Chameleon-like in appearance with cryptic colouration in shades of brown and grey. The spiky 'beard' is not as prominent as in other species, being reduced to a few spiny scales under the chin, on the neck, and on the back. It was well aware of my presence and kept me in sight at all times, allowing me to no closer than about 5m.
Arid region of the Gascoyne in Western Australia, on the way to the top of Mt Augustus.
