Nephila clavipes
This spider had made a web from the car door to the side-view mirror of the car. Luckily the car wasn't being used much and I was able to observe this behaviour over a 2 day period. The very small male? looks like it was mating with the very large female!
Seen in a mountainous rainforest area between San Isidro de la General and Dominical in Costa Rica.
You are right pamsai. I did not realize that he was every picture.
I hope this female would not eat the male after......

Rieko, I didn't even notice the little male until you mentioned it. Wow, what a size difference!
Nice series! These large spiders are known to have some of the strongest silk of any spider.
