FL has 3 highest number of eagles nesting in the state (Alaska has highest number, and Minnesota has second highest)

Well then I am even more impressed with the clarity!! I study seals near an eagle nest and occasionally one of the adults will perch on a tree right behind me so I have some leisurely chances but rarely get as clear a photo as this!

Thanks. I'm not sure how large the population is. I don't see them that often. I think this one has a nest in a large tower near my house. He dropped into my backyard for a brief rest. I had to shoot this shot pretty quick.

Do you have a large population of eagles in Florida? Over the last 20 years the Maine population has flourished from almost 0 too healthy (maybe too healthy) numbers.

Wonderful photos!
