Funnel-Web Spider

agelenidae spp.

Description:

Body was a little over half an inch. Legs looked black with tan rings. Body had black and tan stripes.

Habitat:

I found this spider in the woods. It's web was at the bottom of a small oak sapling. Web was a funnel shape and at the front it was spread about a foot wide to catch insects.

I think I found the correct species. Not completely sure. Seems to be several different funnel web spiders. From what I could tell grass spider fits pretty well.
