This five pointed red star flower grows in several planting areas here. The ants love them and as you see a small Katydid wishing. The flowers lean on their stems and look like they are shooting stars. The size of the bloom is about 1 inch or 2.5 cm max. Lots of pollen scattered on the petals.
Sunny areas on the Central Plateau. These are located in areas that have been intentionally randomly planted.
These flowers are so fun to photograph.
