Leaf beetle

Paropsis marmorea

Description:

A lonely brown leaf beetle catching some winter sun. This is my first record of this species.

Habitat:

On red box (eucalyptus.) in a nature reserve.

Notes:

Locking away regions of native growth habitat is very useful if we wish to maintain biodiversity. http://www.forestryimages.com/browse/sub...

Thank oyu Lori and Mark. I have changed the ID to Paropsis marmorea which differs from Paropsis geographica by being less strongly spotted and having more yellow color through the pronotum and skirt.
