Wild Turkey

Meleagris gallopavo

Description:

This male turkey puts on a impressive display to a female out of frame.

Habitat:

At the John Heinz NWR. The wild turkey population is small there but can sometimes be seen by the visitor's center, which is where I found this one, with a group of about six others. They were by a bird feeder eating and displaying.
