Description:

Perennial, herbaceous, hardy plant. Leaves are 3-8 cm long, pinnate, with 8-12 pairs of leaflets, each leaflet 5-10 mm long. At the leaf tips are noose-like tendrils, which fasten the plant to other plants when they come in contact.

Habitat:

Often occurs in disturbed habitats, including old-fields and roadside ditches.

Notes:

It is known as a nitrogen fixing plant and therefore sometimes cultivated for soil enrichement.
