Eastern Kingbird

Tyrannus tyrannus

Description:

Tell-tale buzzing vocalization, and the tip of their tail looks like its been dipped in white paint.

Habitat:

Often spotted on utility cables along side of the road, as well as near tops of trees. As insectivores, they are pretty much any where the bugs are! Swamps and marsh are common locations.

Notes:

Typically, I hear their buzzing before I see them. On this day, there were two, together - with one perching quite close to me.
