Tree pipit

Anthus trivialis

Description:

Difficult to see the features since the bird was just against the sun but is the first time I spot this species in Belgium. It has a characteristic breast with black blotches and the rest of its under feathers are creamy white. Streaked brown above. We noticed its location because it was making a repetitive call.

Habitat:

Connecterra, Hoge Kempen National Park, Maasmechelen.
