Two-Striped Planthopper

Acanalonia bivittata

Description:

In its mature state this planthopper is approximately 5 - 7 mm long. It is easily identified by its red eyes and the two reddish edges of its wings. It feeds on the juices of a variety of plants.

Habitat:

open prairie
