Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and arable land. It is threatened by habitat loss. Here spotted in Burgers Zoo Arnhem, Netherlands

According to the book of Encyclopedia of Birds yes it is. sttweets, this species is considered to be near threatened.
