Hummingbird.

Archilochus Colubris

Description:

Two Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds, a male and a female. Both hummingbirds have white chests and a greenish back. The male with its red collar, gives this species its name, while the female don't.

Habitat:

Ruby-throated hummingbirds have the widest distribution of hummingbirds in the world, ranging from southern and central canada in summer to as far south and northern panama in winter.

Notes:

This is the only hummingbird species that breeds in the eastern United States.
