Description:

Oxylia duponcheli is an endemic species in South of the Balcan peninsula (Albania, Bulgaria, Greece). The beetle develops in roots of Echium and the adults are often collected on the host plants, but this particular beetle was photographed while foraging on a thistle plant. Spotted near Paltsi settlement, South Pelion, Greece.
