Description:

It had a patch of red on it's forehead and not webbed feet with very long "toes".

Habitat:

I found it in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, swimming around in a little pond/river.

Correct that last suggestion, it's a Common Moorhen...

It's a Gallinule of some sort. it sure looks like a Dusky Moorhen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dusky_Moorh...), but what it would be doing in that part of the world is anybody's guess!
