Description:

The Emperor Swallowtail is a butterfly of the Papilionidae family. It is found in Subsaharan Africa. The wingspan is 90–110 mm in males and 100–120 mm in females. Only saw this butterfly stationary once, amongst many butterflies, mud-puddling..

Habitat:

Seen with several other species of butterflies, many of which were Papilioninae, mud-puddling on a dirt road leading to The Congo, deeper in the forest than the other spottings.
