Flatid Planthopper

anormenis chloris

Description:

This planthopper is almost pure white, sometimes with a faint orange border on its folded wings. It is less then 1/2 inch long. Little information is currently available on this species. Nymphs have a white, waxy-cottony looking coating and suck plant juices.

Habitat:

Yard

Notes:

I always used to call this the "albino" planthopper as they are usually green and this is almost white, but up close it looks more like a pale blue.
