Description:

The Hwamei, a small Chinese perching bird.

Habitat:

Woodland, as well as man-made parks and gardens up to 1800 meters above sea level. Native to mainland Asia and Hainan Island but introduced to Taiwan, Singapore, Japan and the Hawaiian islands.

Notes:

Alternative species name: Leucodioptron canorum.
