This curious moth (I assume it's a moth!) is sitting by my desk on the edge of a blind; length 2 cm (0.8 inches).

Habitat:

Hills overlooking Manila.

He almost looks like he is meditating like a monk in the pics #1 & 2. Very odd pose but cute!

Such hairy vented moths are considered deadly pest in their caterpillar stage.

Yes, indeed he's balancing himself on the very edge of the blind... Doesn't look very comfortable, but he managed to stay there for just over 5 hours (even when I accidentally knocked the blind when trying to get a good angle for the photo!!)

He was flying like a mad, crazy thing before he landed here. Maybe he's looking for the loo (c.r./ w.c/ bathroom)... And hasn't found it yet!! :-D

That has got to be the strangest looking animal I've seen today. Strange "legs" if that is what they are...fuzzy white with black knee caps..and white tipped "elbows"???
