This osprey was a lucky catch. To the eye, he was just a funny shaped dark blur on the white post. It was not until I saw the images on the computer that I knew what I had! This spotting is supposedly P. h. carolinensis.
Widespread throughout the Americas depending on time of year. A year-long FL resident. They are found near water as they mainly eat fish.
