Spotted these skimmers one afternoon at a side stream of the River Murty at Chalsa, Cooch Behar.

It's a species of Gerridae (Heteroptera). According to wikipedia there are over 1700 species of these skimmers. You'd probably need an identification key to identify it up to genus or species.
