Japanese Beetle

Description:

The first Japanese beetle found in Canada was in a tourist's car at Yarmouth, arriving in Nova Scotia by ferry from Maine in 1939. During the same year, three additional adults were captured at Yarmouth and three at Lacolle in southern Quebec.

Notes:

I spotted these Japanese beetles at Baden Powell park. They are eating the blooms of a Hibiscus, but I'm not sure which species. These beetle are really bad news. They ravaged the Fuschia standards in my area at work.
