I think the ice plants just crept in on their own. The lighthouse is inaccessible about half the time due to high tides. It's all volunteer run, and I doubt the lightkeeper does the gardening

Interesting that it was a "native" display, that Ice plant is not native.

It'ss a bit hard to tell from the photo, but definitely not a fern. More like a heavy stiff yarrow leaf
