Roseate Spoonbill

Platalea ajaja

Description:

A pair of Roseate Spoonbills in full breeding plumage.

Habitat:

A rookery in High Island Texas.

Notes:

The second photo, with the flock, has a small American Alligator passing thru. They pushed it away but alligators under 3 feet long didnt seem to bother them much.
