Description:

The ground was dotted with these 6 cm tall flowering plants. It seems that they grow on bare rocks or very little soil. There were hundreds of them at elevation 2,500 m asl.

Habitat:

In an Oak and manzanita forest.

On second thought, looks more like a sedum now that I realize that the bumps on the sides of the stems are the leaves.

Awesome spotting! Looks almost like a saxifrage but not sure if any grow in your area.
