Description:

Orange butterfly with distinctive dark brown markings. Underside is yellowish with silvery spots. Wingspan ranges from 60–86 mm (2.4–3.4 in).

Habitat:

Spotted on moist soil along the shore at Helen McCabe State Park.

Notes:
